Ministry
Choir: Our choir rehearses every Thursday at 7:15pm and sings at the Sunday Service and for holidays. Please contact our Music Minister, Heather Skidds at [email protected] if you re interested in joining the choir.
Bible Study: We have a small group of adults who meet on Zoom on Monday evenings at 6:30. Our topic for this
session is Paul’s Letter to the Romans. contact the church office with your email address to receive the zoom contact information for the class. [email protected]
Sunday School: Sunday School is offered during the service on the first and third Sundays for the children the congregation. Additional teachers are always welcome.
Coffee Hour: We gather in fellowship after service each week for Coffee Hour. Volunteers are needed to host weekly Coffee Hour. Sign up on the bulletin board at church or by contacting the office.
Confirmation Classes: Confirmation classes are available at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd for folks who are in seventh grade or older beginning on Sunday, January 18. In these classes we focus on two documents: the Bible and the Small Catechism of Martin Luther. While both of these texts are of ancient origins, they are the foundation on which we seek to understand that the lives we live today have solid and tested foundations. Pastor Kohl will offer these classes on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month following our worship time. Please let him know if you have a student you would like to be part of the class. Adults are also welcome.
Bazaar: Our congregation hosts an annual Christmas Bazaar on the first Saturday in December. Proceeds benefit the church as well as local organizations like the RI Community Food Bank and Lutheran World Relief Project Comfort. Please consider whether you could help us continue to offer our bazaar for 2026 with your talents.
